Jinshan will hold its first international beer festival from June 29 to July 6.
Visitors have a chance to taste authentic brews from Germany, Czech and Belgium while enjoying live music from a European band and fun games.
The festival will run every night from 5pm to 10 pm. Admission costs 288 yuan (US$46) per person. The price includes two glasses of German beer and a set-menu German fare.
Visitors can buy tickets at Jinshanzui Seafood City or online at www.gewara.com.
Besides enjoying the beer festival, visitors can also have fun in the nearby City Beach and Jinshanzui Fishing Village, where the Seafood Culture Festival is going on.

Beer and food for festival revelers

Burger-Bier, a German brewery, continues to make beer in traditional style, using top-quality wheat and barley, superior German hops, and ferment it naturally for over 12 weeks with mineral water. Its beer yields creamy foams and lasting taste.

Founded in Munich 360 years ago, Paulaner has become a famous beer brand. The beerhouse boasts unique fermentation process and uses glacier water from the Alps. Its classic Hefe-Weissbier is sold in upscale markets around the world.
Visitors can also taste Hoegaarden from Belgium and Herold beer from Czech Republic.
Another highlight at the festival is German food Pork knuckle With deep-fried crisp skin and juicy meat, pork knuckle is a German dish you simply cannot resist.

A variety of German sausages that show how Germans love their different-flavored sausages in daily meal.

Made of rye, oats, fine flours and side crops, German bread is famous for its fine taste and high nutrition.

Visitors can taste garden-fresh vegetables from local farms. The salad topped with sesame paste and bread crumbs goes well with beer, sausages, pork knuckle and bread in a typical mix of German food.

Is there a live band at the festival?

The Mixed Dream Color Band from Europe will perform every night at 5:30pm, 6:45pm, 8pm and 9:15pm. Visitors will also be entertained by clowns, beer babies, fun games and lucky draws.

What are other interesting places to see?

The City Beach, Jinshan Roller Skating Park, and Binhai Park are in the vicinity.

How to get there?

Take Metro Line 22 at Shanghai South Railway Station and get off at Jinshan Railway Station. Then take a shuttle bus to the beer festival with your festival ticket or digital ticket in your mobile phone.
