Built in 2000, Shiquan Vineyard occupies 100 hectares of land in Baiyang Village, Jinshan District. It grows new species of grapes that have never been cultivated in Shanghai using modern greenhouse and climate simulation technology.
Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng was impressed by the high quality of grapes produced by the vineyard when he visited in 2004.
The vineyard grows more than 10 grape varieties including Jingya, Yatomi Rosa and Kyoho. Visitors can pick grapes themselves during the harvest season from later June to early November. There are also vegetable plots in the vineyard for visitors to experience the job of farmers.
