Huicui Garden, a 12,000-square-meter green retreat at 208 Dadi Road, Jinshan District, was built in October 1993 after 18 months of construction and was opened to the public on the day of China's Double Ninth Festival.

The classical-style garden features a big screen wall, vivid rockery formations, a lotus pond with an arch bridge, pavilions, a 85-meter-long corridor, many trees and bamboogroves. There is a serene courtyard inside the garden. In the yard stands a 3.2-meter-high stone from the Taihu Lake area. It has the shape of a magnolia flower, the city flower of Shanghai, thus, it is named "Magnolia Peak."
