On the shore of Hangzhou Bay, Jinshanzui is a fishing village with a history of 6,000 years. It has more than 20 fishing boats and 150 fishermen, and several seafood processing workshops. Besides fishery, the village also runs a robust tourism industry with 20 restaurants and small inns.
In recent years, the local government has invested a lot in the protection of the village's rich heritages and is trying to make the village a popular tourist attraction to increase the income of local villagers.
Jinshanzui now has a fishery museum, a folk art gallery and other tourism facilities.
