The Shanghai Nanshe Memorial is located in the former residence of Yao Guang, a Shanghai cultural heritage site, and officially opened to the public on May 31, 2007. It is the first professional venue in China to comprehensively exhibit the deeds of historical figures from Nanshe. It is a national 3A-level tourist attraction, a Shanghai patriotism education base, and a practical teaching base for the Shanghai Socialist Academy.

Nanshe was the most influential revolutionary literary society around the time of the Xinhai Revolution, known as the "publicity department of the Tongmenghui." Jinshan is one of the important origins of Nanshe. Gao Xu, one of the founders, was from Zhangyan in Jinshan. Over 60 local scholars from Jinshan joined Nanshe, leaving a significant mark in its history. The exhibition hall covers 1,600 square meters and features a wealth of precious photos, letters, manuscripts, paintings, and uses technology such as LED screens and integrated cultural machines. It highlights the connections between Shanghai, Jinshan, and Nanshe, as well as the relationships between Nanshe, the Chinese Revolution, and the Communist Party of China, reflecting the social contributions and influence of Nanshe members.
